Why is Fibre-optic better?

Fibre-optic uses thin light strands of glass fibre to transmit data using light pulse signals at very high speed for more efficient transmission without signal loss

*Not to be confused with fibre broadband or partial-fibre type technologies

■ FIBRE-OPTIC INFRASTRUCTURE: The use of fibre-optic technology typically results in faster and more reliable internet connections compared to traditional Internet services

■ HIGHER SPEEDS: Ideal for businesses and organisations with demanding Internet requirements, data transfer and communication needs

■ GREATER BANDWIDTH: Fiber-optic cables can carry a much larger amount of data simultaneously, providing more bandwidth for multiple users or devices.

■ SYMMETRICAL: Upload and Download speeds are symmetrical (the same both ways)

■ SCALABILITY: On-demand bandwidth offers instant scalability, allowing customers to adjust their bandwidth and connectivity as their needs change...instantly

■ RELIABILITY: Fibre-optic networks are more reliable and have less failure rates and not susceptible to environmental interference, such as electromagnetic interference and weather-related disruptions

■ SECURITY: Dedicated fibre-optical cables are inherently more secure than other connectivities

■ MANAGED SERVICE: Both a managed connection, plus managed router (CPE), including monitoring and technical support to ensure your service operates smoothly

■ COST-EFFECTIVE when compared to other optical leased line and Ethernet services

■ INDUSTRY BEST SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA) offering 99.999% that guarantee's specific performance levels, uptime, and response times for issue resolution, providing businesses confidence in the reliability of their internet connection.

■ AVAILABILITY: 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps bearer option. It's essential to check whether there is coverage in your location

Optical fibre access technology splits pure fibres between no more than 5 business premises, with each business provided with their own glass fibre strand with pulsed light. This approach delivers a consistently reliable service even in the near impossible event that all the connections are used simultaneously to their maximum bandwidth

True fibre services are also less susceptible to the effect of bad weather, experience fewer incidences and remain unaffected by electrical interference
